MyRepair was built by people who actually do repairs.
Behind MyRepair there is not simply a company that developed software for the repair world.
There is us.
And above all, there is a workshop that, every day, faces the same problems our customers face.
MyRepair was in fact born inside Fixit Informatica, a company specialised in technical support and repairs, founded in 2005 and grown over the years through direct hands-on experience.
And this is precisely the most important difference between MyRepair and software built simply from a desk.
We speak your language because it is our language.
Behind MyRepair is the experience of Alessandro Gallo, a programmer analyst and hardware and software technician, who has been working in the IT sector for over 20 years.
His career started in technology, but grew above all through hands-on experience: software development, hardware, systems, networks, databases and technical support.
Over the years he worked as a technician and consultant for major organisations, handling hardware and software support, systems administration, installations, configurations and coordination of technical activities across the region.
In 2009 he joined the management of Fixit Informatica, bringing all this experience directly into a repair workshop.
And it is right here that the idea of MyRepair was born.
Not from the idea of creating yet another management software. But from the need to have a better tool to do our work.
MyRepair was not born with the idea of creating a product to sell.
It was born because we needed it ourselves.
Managing a workshop means dealing simultaneously with customers, devices, intake, quotes, spare parts, technicians, turnaround times, deliveries, jobs, warranties, suppliers and many other activities.
And as the number of repairs grows, organising everything becomes increasingly difficult.
That is why we started building the tools our work needed.
First one feature. Then another. Then another still.
What was initially a tool designed for our own needs grew alongside our workshop, until it became MyRepair.
Over the years MyRepair has changed enormously.
The technology, the interface and the way of working have all changed. Features have grown, new modules have arrived and the software has become increasingly complete.
But one thing has always remained the same: solving a real problem of everyday work.
Every significant change in fact stems from a very simple question:
When we started sharing MyRepair with other workshops, something happened that became fundamental for us.
We started receiving ideas, requests, suggestions and feedback from people using the software every day.
One customer asked us for a feature. Another pointed out a problem. Yet another suggested a completely different way to handle a particular situation.
And many of these ideas have become part of MyRepair.
That is why we do not think of our customers simply as users of the software. We consider them part of its development.
Because those who use MyRepair every day see problems and opportunities that we, even working directly in the industry, might not see. And it is precisely from this exchange that better software is born.
For us, sharing knowledge is not something that began with MyRepair.
It is a philosophy that has been part of the way we work for many years.
Through Fixit Informatica, we have always tried to share what we learn every day in the field. Over time, the workshop has given rise to guides, solutions, in-depth articles and courses designed to help other technicians and professionals tackle the challenges of their work.
Our YouTube channel was born with the same spirit: freely sharing experiences, repairs, technical solutions and knowledge that may be useful to others.
Watch the Fixit Informatica YouTube channelBecause we believe that a shared solution can become a solution for many.
And we have brought the same principle into MyRepair.
If a workshop finds a solution to a problem, that experience can be useful to others too. If a professional has developed an effective working method, why not share it? If a piece of information can save another technician time, it is worth making it available.
This is the idea behind our community: not just using software, but sharing knowledge and experiences to help one another.
One of the most important lessons we have learned over the years is that there is no single way to manage a repair.
Every workshop has its own habits. Every sector has its own needs. Every business has its own information to collect, its own processes and its own priorities.
That is why MyRepair does not want to force you to change the way you work. We want the software to adapt to you.
It is precisely from this philosophy that features such as Custom Fields are born, which allow you to create personalised fields and tailor the job cards to your business needs.
Because a bicycle repair is not the same as a watch repair. A home appliance repair is not the same as an OnSite job. And a service centre that works for businesses may have completely different needs from a small workshop.
The management software must be flexible enough to handle all these realities.
MyRepair does not want to be just a software you use every day.
We want to build a community of professionals around the software who can share experiences, ideas, information and solutions.
A problem encountered by one workshop may already have been solved by another. A more efficient way of managing a task could be useful to others too. A specific need could become a new feature for everyone.
This is precisely the value of a community: turning the experience of the individual into a resource for everyone.
We can develop the software. But the knowledge of those who use it every day is equally important.
And we want this collaboration to keep growing over time.
MyRepair continues to evolve.
Our roadmap is not simply a list of features we decide internally and then hand over to users. Your ideas are part of the roadmap.
Do you have a problem that MyRepair could solve? Do you have an idea to improve a feature? Is there something you do every day that you would like to manage directly in the software?
Talk to us about it.
Requests are evaluated, discussed and, when they make sense for the project, can become part of future development.
Not all ideas can be implemented. But no good idea goes ignored.
After years of development, MyRepair has become a platform designed to manage the entire workflow of a business dealing with repairs and technical support.
And we continue to add tools to make work simpler, more organised and more efficient.
This, at the end of the day, is what sets us apart. We are not just the people who developed MyRepair.
We are people who know the problem the software is designed to solve.
We know what it means to have customers waiting at the counter. We know what it means to search for a spare part. We know what it means to have a repair on hold. We know what it means to have to call a customer back. We know how much time a complicated procedure or hard-to-find information can cost.
Because we live these things too.
We speak your language.
We understand your work.
We solve your challenges.
We make your work easier.
MyRepair: born for us, grown with you.
What was born as a tool for our workshop has become a much larger project. And today we want to continue to grow it together with the people who use it. Because our goal is not simply to create another management system. It is to create the management system we always wished we had in our workshop.
A management system born from repairs, built with repairers and designed for their work.
